MLEF Announces 2022's Spud Impact Awardees

​MLEF awarded Spud Impact Grants this fall over the district's Professional Development break in November. In all, $8,500 was awarded to 22 projects or activities within the district.

• Johanna Heigaard, Career Academy - Culinary protective clothing *This project was funded by the Irene Olson Spud Impact Grant.
• Molly Walter, MHS - Classroom whiteboards *This project was funded by the Irene Olson Spud Impact Grant.
• Dan Dooher, Horizon Middle School - Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) books 
• Marc Wilson, Horizon Middle School - Classroom library books
• Michele Morse, MHS - Lightweight sport wheelchair for PE 
• Lisa Melby, Probstfield Elem. School - High interest books *This Spud Impact grant was funded by Matthew & Tina Christenson through their SpudTacular Gala donation.
• Steph McNabb, SG Reinertson Elem. School - Letter trays for building phonics/phonemic awareness

• Amber Arndt, Horizon Middle School - Classroom economy materials for financial literacy
• Jen Welle, Horizon Middle School - Art Club Hallway mural supplies
• Sayra Crary, Horizon Middle School- 5th grade Multilingual books *This project was funded by the Dr. Lynne Kovash Spud Impact Grant.
