2025-2026 Sponsorship Opportunities
Our annual sponsorship opportunities help support Moorhead students and staff throughout each school year. Our board of directors continually review the needs of our schools and ensure that resources will be invested wisely over time. We use the resources for maximum charitable impact every year. We envision a bright future for all students of Moorhead Area Public Schools. A future where students' needs are met so they can learn, grow, and ultimately impact our community for the better. 1) Club Memberships and Sponsorships
The 152Club: Unrestricted funds for greatest needs. A gift of $152 to our general fund earns a special recognition in The 152Club. Donors like you provide an investment in Moorhead Area Public Schools. The needs of our students and schools will always be changing, and unrestricted funds provide maximum flexibility for distribution. By joining The 152Club, your support makes an impact on lifelong learning and on the daily lives and education of students across the district.
- A gift of $152 earns a special recognition in the 152Club. Benefits include one (1) athletic pass and free popcorn at regular-season home games, and an invitation to our pre-game Club event nights sponsored by MLEF, SpudsTV and MAPS.
- Level up your membership with a Legacy 152Club donation of $552, $1152, $2552 or more. Benefits include two (2) athletic passes, free popcorn and Club event invites for your household.
- MAPS employees can support the foundation by participating in the district's Payroll Deduction program. Just $7.60 per paycheck will be recognized as a 152Club membership. Click below:

MLEF/SpudsTV Club Sponsorships: In lieu of our annual SpudTacular Gala, MLEF and SpudsTV have joined in partnership for sponsor dollars that will help fund special projects for Moorhead Schools. 2) Spud Giving Days - Homecoming Week
Over Homecoming Week, find us at Buffalo Wild Wings on Tuesday, Sept. 16th, in the parade with the SpudMobile, and tailgating in Spud Alley before the football game on that Friday! Moorhead Legacy Education Foundation is part of Giving Hearts Day, co-hosted by Dakota Medical Foundation, Impact Institute and Alex Stern Family Foundation. Donors can use the GHD giving page year-round.
MLEF wants students in Moorhead Area Public Schools to learn at their greatest potential. You can help with your matched donations during this annual, community-wide day of giving from the heart.
HISTORY : The Legacy Foundation’s Giving Hearts Day 2017 Food For Thought campaign raised funds to support 200 students, providing them with milk and snack so they could learn and focus in the classroom. Since then, more than 900 donors have supported the Legacy Foundation’s Food for Thought campaign to provide students in need in Moorhead Area Public Schools with milk/snack and meals.
WHY IT IS IMPORTANT :
Currently, over 40% of K-4 elementary students in Moorhead Area Public Schools are eligible for free or reduced-price meals, but this program doesn’t cover the cost for elementary snack break or fill the gaps when families’ financial situations change. For some students, daily snack break is one of their first meals when breakfast is not available at home.
The Legacy Foundation wants to continue building that support by providing funds to the schools to support snack break and critical needs. Please consider partnering with us on Giving Hearts Day 2025! Learn more at www.givingheartsday.org.

3) Spud Scholars Phonathon & Awards Ceremony
Each spring, the Legacy Foundation sponsors an annual Spud Scholars Phonathon to raise money for scholarships. This year's Phonathon took place March 4th & 5th. Annually, Moorhead High School students secure pledges and the MLEF Board of Directors support and assist with mailing and record-keeping. Community support ensures the success of this annual Phonathon. An awards ceremony is held by the district each spring before graduation.
For 30 years, the Legacy Foundation's Spud Scholars has supported Moorhead students in their quest to pursue higher education. Since 1991, the foundation has awarded over $2 Million to 2,000 Moorhead High graduates.
Each year, we have between 130-170 MHS senior applicants who are directly impacted by your donations to the Phonathon. The number of Spud Scholarship awards we able to award is directly dependent on the funding received through the Phonathon campaign, with business sponsors, and named scholarships toward our endowed scholarship fund.
